Mark Burchfield
Managing Director

After Graduating from Sussex University with a joint degree in Physics and Business Management in 1992, Mark pursued a career in engineering culminating in a Directorship for a large national Electro Mechanical Engineering company. In the late 90’s Mark moved into the IT sector concentrating his efforts on the managed service sector within the City. Mark joined CableCom Networking as Sales Director in 2002 and helped found the Managed Service business shortly afterwards. Mark became MD of CableCom in May 2007 following the MBO supported by ISIS Equity Partners.

Mark lives in Clevedon with his wife and two children, interests when time allows are football, tennis and squash.

Paul Kan
Marketing Director

Born in Liverpool, with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MBA from Kingston University, Paul has worked for over 20 years in the technology industry, spending time with companies such Fairchild, Mitsubishi, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems. During which 3 years of his time was spent living on the East Coast of the USA where, as one of a team of 9 leaders, he helped take Bluetooth from a technology concept to a global success. He has also spent many years working in the wireless technology space, particularly in mobile.

Paul has a wife and two boys – and his hobbies include, music, most sports, fishing and holidaying with the family.

Lee Colliss
Finance Director

Lee has been Finance Director at CableCom since joining in October 2009. He plays a strategic role working with the Board on its competitive and acquisition activity. Qualified in 1993, Lee’s background has been in various well known organisations across many industries: including IT (Sage, KCS, ML, Cable and Wireless), sciences (Fisons, Glaxo) and beverages (Coca-Cola). He has extensive experience in re-engineering financial and operational processes in fast growing organisations. His experience lies across a wide spectrum; Financial and Management Accounts, Forecasts, Budgets and Business Plans, Internal Controls and Procedures, Installing and Developing Accounting Systems, and Acquisition Due Diligence and Integration.

Lee is currently engaged and due to be married next year. He enjoys motorcycling and most sports including golf and snooker, although it is widely acknowledged this will be curtailed once married!

Rhys Thomas
Service Delivery Director

Born in Cardiff and brought up in Bristol, Rhys has a Business Studies degree from De Montfort University. He has worked in I.T. Services over the last 15 years for market leading companies within the retail and private accommodation sectors before joining CableCom in 2009. Rhys has a strong track record in delivering service transformation and improvement programmes and is an accredited ITIL v3 “expert”.

Rhys has a wife and three children and tries hard to maintain a healthy balance between family, work and his obsession with sport.
