CableCom Networking, a group of companies specialising in broadband, TV and utilities for the student and residential markets, has acquired independent internet service provider, WarwickNet.
The deal sees the CableCom group expanding its offering and growth potential with complementary and innovative solutions developed by WarwickNet, which has seen the provider deliver high speed connectivity solutions to companies located at business parks, industrial estates, metropolitan areas and multi - tenancy buildings.
WarwickNet specialises in highly bespoke networks for corporates, broadcasting and data networks . CableCom’s entry into this new, adjacent market is the group’s latest deal to showcase its appetite for expanding outside of the student and residential arena, widening its service offering in business sectors and its footprint across the UK.
Mark Burchfield, Managing Director of CableCom, said: “This is a significant step for CableCom and really supports the added value elements that our services provide . At CableCom we focus on niche communications markets where we can leverage our network and resources to accelerate growth . Entering into this new market ensures opportunity for the CableCom group to accelerate WarwickNet’s business growth plans, giving the provider a wider support network to enhance its existing service offering .
“This acquisition means more people than ever will benefit from the services both CableCom and WarwickNet have to offer, building on the services available to both client bases.”
CableCom, based in Somerset, serves more than 350,000 customers across Europe and the UK, providing internet services to the student accommodation and residential markets . This recent deal sees the group working with another likeminded, innovative business in a neighbouring sector, allowing CableCom to grow and increase its footprint across the UK.
WarwickNet helps future proof businesses with specialist network connectivity and service solutions ranging from business - grade broadband from 40 Mbit / s, to dedicated leased lines of up to 1 Gbit / s and MPLS networks .
Ben King, Chief Executive at WarwickNet, said: “CableCom’s acquisition of WarwickNet sees two very complementary companies coming together to roll out innovative broadband solutions to an ever growing market . We are continually developing, extending and building to ensure our customers get the highest possible quality of service and we cannot wait to continue to develop our offering with CableCom.”
