Company History

Cablecom Networking Ltd is a leading supplier of integrated network services to the private sector. The company was established in the late 1980s and has grown steadily during the 1990s by winning contracts with a number of large blue chip customers and gaining accreditation for the implementation of the latest data network technologies.

Extending the business into a niche growth area, CableCom launched a sister company in 2003 to address the demand for internet access solutions within student and key worker accommodation. CableCom Access Technologies (CableCom) quickly secured a 10-year contract with UPP (University Partnership Programme) to install, operate and maintain internet access systems for student halls of residence being built or managed by UPP in the UK. Since then, the company has achieved impressive growth in this sector.

CableCom now provides internet services to over 50,000 rooms, at nearly 200 accommodation sites across the UK. The company works with many of the leading providers of student accommodation, including housing associations and private sector firms and also directly with several universities.
